Artist and educator, Tony Anaya is back on the show to talk with Edgar OtraVez about el Cucuy. El Cucuy is a folktale that is not only found in Mexico but all over Latin America and the world. This phantom monster is a creature that is known as a kidnapper and eater of children. Every person of Mexican descent remembers the warning, “behave or el Cucuy will eat you.” Or the lullaby, “Duérmete niño, duérmete ya. Que viene el Coco y te comerá.”
